First: take vitamin C because it acts as an internal cleaner of the body and eliminates the various problems caused by viruses. It can reduce the duration of colds from seven to just two or three days. Also, vitamin C can reduce the cough and other symptoms.

Second: the cold can be treated by taking zinc. The researchers in Britain and the United States have found out that taking zinc can shorten the duration of the cold to four days.

Third: rest and drink refreshing drinks. Resting is very important, because it allows the remedies to work more efficiently and restores the energy in the body. Resting also helps to relieve respiratory inflammation, as well as pneumonia. It is advised that the affected person should rest a day or two when the health condition is not so good.

Fourth: it is advisable to wear warm clothes. However, you should not wear heavy clothes, because it will cause the body to consume extra energy to carry clothes, instead focus on the immune system that defends us from illness.

Fifth: go for a walk. The easy walk is very beneficial for the blood circulation and also helps the immune system in the production of antibodies necessary for the elimination of illness causer.

Sixth: take light meals. When the person feels the cold, it is a sign that there is a need for consuming an easily digestible food.

Seventh: take a chicken soup. This is an ancient folk remedy that has proven to be very effective.

Eighth: take as many fluids as you can. It is advisable to take six to eight glasses of water, juice, tea or other refreshing drinks on a daily basis. Eleventh: use inhalation with steam, because it removes the disturbance in the respiratory system. Put water into a pan, then put the pan on the fire (heat source) and let it boil. Then remove the pan from the heat and take a towel (or a piece of cloth) and cover the head, which is held above the pan. The inhalation of the steam will clean the nostrils. This will also alleviate the cough, because steam moisturizes the dry throat.

Twelfth: use grease (cream) and smear your nostrils and this will prevent the accumulation of mucus in them. This is especially important because the nostrils will be dry and will cause disturbances in breathing.

Thirteenth: to relieve the pain and the temperature that accompany colds take Aspirin and Paracetamol.

Fourteenth: to prevent sneezing, runny nose and eyes take Histamine, which stops the additional secretion in the body.

Fifteenth: at the beginning of colds should take two capsules of plant-based products, such as Goldenseal or Athanasia. The Goldenseal improves the liver function, and the other quality is that it eliminates the illness causer. In addition, it strengthens the mucous membranes in the nose, mouth and throat. As for Athanasia, this product cleans the blood, improves the lymph glands, helps in the production of antibodies that fight the cause and removes toxins from the body.

Sixteenth: consume garlic as often as possible. The garlic has an effective action against the illness causer, rapidly destroys bacteria and viruses, and eliminates the difficulties that the colds evoke.
Seventeenth: drink licorice tea (licorice root, licorice), because it slightly affects the throat and relieves the coughing.
