Damarland is a beautiful Island located to the east of the Skelton Coast, in Namibia. It is a perfect place for vacationers who want to enjoy the bliss of Nature. The Impressive Twyfelfontein:
Here you can view almost 2,500 different types of beautiful rock art that was prominent in Africa. This art is scattered all over the local area. You will be mesmerized seeing the meaningful and impressive engravings that are more than 6,000 years old. It is believed that it was crafted by San hunters, who lived much before the Stone Age.

You can see the images of different animals and their tracks on these rocks. For engraving these paintings, they cut the soft stratum coats of the sandstone. All these paintings are well maintained and still in good condition. As per the experts, it is believed that when the rocks eroded, many years ago the stratum was regenerated. This process on the other hand protected the original painting and engravings.

Burnt Mountain and volcanic ridge are two other places that are located not far from Twyfelfontein. It completely looks like someone has burnt or set fire to this mountain. Thus it has been named as burnt mountain. It would feel, as you are seeing the pile of ashes and clinker left over.

The Exotic Spitzkoppe:
It is one of the most beautiful and exclusive landmark of Namibia. This giant is 1728 meters high granite outcrop. It abruptly rises from the Namibian plains that surround the whole area. It is one of the oldest and quite popular volcanos located in the area. It has attracted many people from all over the world. The name Spitzkoppe denotes sharp head and is looks opposite to what its name suggest.
Summer is the best time to visit this place as you can then climb the rock easily and cautiously. The rock might become very hot, so you need to take care of the shoes and clothes that you wear while visiting this place.
